The normal individual visitor procedure is built around a registered vehicle.
After security orientation, visitors continue toward the checkpoint using the vehicle registered with the entry system.
This means the attraction is much easier for travelers with a rental car than for travelers relying entirely on ordinary public transportation.
If you do not drive in Korea, an organized tour or other confirmed transportation arrangement is generally more practical than arriving at the entrance and expecting to walk through the checkpoint.
